Quick answer: Start 12 weeks before the event. Weeks 12–9: cleanse well and wear sunscreen every day. Weeks 8–5: add one serum at a time, each with a patch test. Weeks 4–2: keep the routine steady. Last 2 weeks: nothing new. Expect skin that looks steadier and fresher, not a transformation, and see a dermatologist early for acne or stubborn pigmentation.

Why start so early?

Skin changes slowly. A product you start today needs weeks of daily use before you can judge it, and a reaction to a new product two days before a wedding can ruin the plan. Starting 12 weeks out gives you room to introduce things calmly, pause if something irritates, and arrive at the event with a routine your skin already knows. Wedding season in Pakistan peaks in the cooler months, so you will often be dealing with dry air, smog in some cities and long indoor events as well as the sun.

This plan is for anyone with a wedding coming up: the bride, the groom, bridesmaids or a guest who wants to look fresh in photos. Our Roman Urdu guide, Dulhan ki skincare routine, covers the last two months; this one starts earlier and adds a week-by-week view.

Weeks 12 to 9: the foundations

Resist the urge to buy a dozen products. Use a gentle cleanser, a moisturiser that suits your skin type and sunscreen every morning, even in winter. Hybrid SPF-95 is a lightweight, fragrance-free 30 ml sunscreen with no white cast on wheatish and brown skin (the 95 is part of the name, not a rating). The directions on the pack say to apply it generously 15–20 minutes before sun exposure and to reapply every 2–3 hours when outdoors. If you do not already wear sunscreen daily, this is the habit that makes everything else easier, because sun exposure darkens marks you are trying to even out.

If you have active breakouts, painful acne or pigmentation that appeared suddenly, book a dermatologist now, not in week two. A cosmetic serum supports a routine; it does not treat a skin condition.

Weeks 8 to 5: add one thing at a time

Pick one morning serum first. C Glow is a 30 ml serum with 10% stabilised Vitamin C intended for dull, tired-looking skin and uneven tone. Do a patch test, use it every second day for a week, and then daily if your skin is comfortable. Two weeks later you can add a night serum. Clarity is a 30 ml serum with 2% Alpha Arbutin aimed at dark spots and acne marks; it also contains a little glycolic acid, so start with a few nights a week and moisturise afterwards. Our guide to using the two together is here (Roman Urdu).

Honest expectations matter here. Our guidance is about 3–4 weeks of daily use for C Glow and 4–6 weeks for Clarity, and older marks take longer. Results vary from person to person, and no serum will change your natural skin colour or hide everything for photos.

Weeks 4 to 2: stay steady and test your makeup

Do not change the routine now. Use these weeks to rehearse. Try your base and lip colour with the sunscreen you will really wear underneath, in daylight and in a photo with flash. Bloom Base (one adaptive shade, light-to-medium coverage, natural-looking finish) works for daytime functions such as mehndi, but it is not a full-coverage bridal foundation; if you want heavy coverage for the main event, speak to your makeup artist and bring your own skincare routine with you so they can plan around it. Our guide Bloom Base for wheatish and dusky skin explains what to expect.

The last two weeks

  • Nothing new. No new serum, scrub, mask or salon treatment you have not tried before.
  • Lips: use a hydrating balm daily; Nude, Pink or Red Bloom work under lipstick. They contain fragrance (Parfum) and have no SPF.
  • Sleep and water do more for how your skin looks than any product in these final days.
  • Pack a small kit for the day: lip balm, blotting tissue, sunscreen for outdoor ceremonies and a travel cleanser for removing makeup at night.

Ordering for a wedding

Order early: parcels are packed in 1–2 business days and delivered in about 2–5 working days depending on your city, and busy wedding weeks can add delays. You can pay by cash on delivery (Rs.100 handling fee) or bank transfer. Buying more than one item can save money: buy 2 or more items: free shipping; buy 3 or more items: save Rs.300 plus free shipping; buy 5 or more items: save Rs.800 plus free shipping. Frequently asked questions

When should I start a skincare routine before my wedding?

About 12 weeks before is comfortable. It leaves time to introduce products one by one, patch test them and pause anything that irritates. Even a shorter plan helps if you keep it simple.

Can skincare make me glow for the wedding?

A steady routine with sunscreen, moisture and good sleep can leave skin looking fresher and more even. It cannot promise a specific result or change your natural skin colour.

What should I avoid before a wedding?

New products, strong peels, scrubs and unfamiliar facials in the last two weeks. Anything that can irritate is best tried months before, not days.

Is this plan only for brides?

No. Grooms, bridesmaids and guests can use the same steps. Men can also use a sunscreen and a tinted lip balm; see our skincare for men page.

Can I use Vitamin C and Alpha Arbutin together before a wedding?

Many people use Vitamin C in the morning and Alpha Arbutin at night. Introduce them separately, a couple of weeks apart, with a patch test each time.

What if I get a breakout close to the wedding?

Do not squeeze it or add new treatments. Keep the routine gentle and ask a dermatologist if it is painful or spreading.

Shadi se 12 hafte pehle shuru karein. Pehle hafte sunblock aur gentle cleanse, phir ek ek karke serum (har ek ka patch test), beech ke hafton mein routine na badlein, aur aakhri 2 hafton mein koi nayi cheez na lagayen. Skin zyada steady aur fresh lag sakti hai, lekin koi serum rangat nahin badalta. Acne ya gehre daagh hon to pehle dermatologist se milen.
