Skincare for Ramadan: A Simple Sehri-to-Iftar Routine

Short answer

For Ramadan keep skincare to a few steps: a gentle cleanse and light moisturiser at sehri, a serum and sunscreen before you go out, lip balm through the day, and a double cleanse with a night serum after iftar. Drink water between iftar and sehri; no product replaces it.

Roman Urdu mein: roze mein routine chhota rakhein: sehri par halka moisturizer, bahar jane se pehle serum aur sunblock, din bhar lip balm, iftar ke baad achi safai aur raat ka serum.

A Ramadan day in five steps

  1. Sehri: lukewarm water on the face, a light moisturiser, and plenty of water to drink.
  2. Before you go out: two to three drops of serum, then sunscreen. Hybrid SPF-95 is lightweight and fragrance-free; the 95 is part of its name, and its pack directs a reapplication every 2–3 hours when outdoors or sweating.
  3. Afternoon: blot sweat, reapply sunscreen if you are outside, and use lip balm whenever lips feel dry.
  4. Iftar: wash up and add lip balm once you have eaten.
  5. After taraweeh: remove sunscreen and makeup with a double cleanse, then a night serum and moisturiser.

Lips while fasting

Lips are usually the first thing to feel dry. Use a hydrating balm often, avoid licking, and put on a thick layer before bed. The Bloom lip balms (10 g each, petrolatum barrier and Vitamin E, with a sheer tint) contain fragrance (Parfum) and have no SPF. If a crack bleeds or does not heal, see a doctor.

Light makeup for iftar and Eid

Heavy makeup does not suit long fasting days. A thin layer of Bloom Base over sunscreen, blotting instead of adding more, and a tinted lip balm are usually enough. For the big day, see Eid glow and quick makeup.
