Quick answer: A groom does not need a long routine. For eight weeks: cleanse gently, wear sunscreen every morning, use lip balm, add one new product at a time after a patch test, and try nothing new in the last week. Hybrid SPF-95, a serum and a Bloom lip balm come to Rs.4,047 with free shipping, after a Rs.300 multi-buy saving.

What a groom can realistically do in eight weeks

Skincare cannot change your face in two months, but it can make the week of the wedding easier: skin that is comfortable, lips that are not cracked, and no surprise reactions from something new on the morning of the mehndi. Your two jobs are consistency and restraint. Do the basics every day, and do not experiment close to the event. If you have acne, scarring or any skin condition, start with a doctor or dermatologist now, not a week before.

The 8-week plan

The longer version for brides, with the same logic, is in the 12-week wedding plan, and the bridal glow prep page.

Sun matters more than you think

Mehndi, barat and walima all involve hours outdoors and under lights, and the marks left by a tan or a pimple show up on camera. Hybrid SPF-95 is a lightweight sunscreen described as leaving no white cast on wheatish and brown skin; it is fragrance-free per its ingredient list. Apply it generously, reapply every 2 to 3 hours when outdoors, and keep it out of a hot car. The 95 is part of the name, not a tested SPF number. Our sunblock for men guide goes into more detail.

Lips

Dry or chapped lips are one of the first things people notice in close-up photos. Use a balm every day, not only before the event. Nude Bloom gives a sheer, subtle tint; a customer called Zoya wrote that her husband liked it. The Bloom balms contain fragrance (Parfum), so patch test if your lips are reactive. They have no SPF.

A light base for the photos

Some grooms like an even finish in photos. A thin layer of Bloom Base over sunscreen is an option. It is one adaptive shade with light-to-medium coverage and a natural-looking finish, so test it at the jawline in daylight well before the day. Use a clean sponge or fingers, blend into the neck, set the T-zone only if you shine, and remove it fully at night. If you would rather not wear any, skip it; the sunscreen and lip balm do the main work.

Shaving and other grooming

  • Do not shave with a blunt razor; change blades and use a clean one.
  • Avoid shaving right before photos on freshly irritated skin; give it some hours.
  • Do not try a new facial, bleach, scrub or peel in the last two weeks.
  • Moisturise after shaving if your skin feels tight.
  • Keep barber and salon products you know. A surprise reaction the night before is the biggest risk.

The cost of the basic kit

Sunscreen, serum and a lip balm are Rs.4,347 at list price. After the multi-buy saving the total is Rs.4,047; shipping is free shipping, and cash on delivery adds Rs.100. Add Clarity and the four-item set is Rs.5,846. Order early in case you need a few days to patch test; delivery takes about 2–5 working days. Wedding guests might like our shaadi guest plan too.

Who this is not for: if your skin is acne-prone, scarred or reactive, a doctor should lead, not a kit. If the wedding is under two weeks away, do not start a new serum; use sunscreen, lip balm and the products you already know. This plan makes no promise about how your skin will look on the day.

Frequently asked questions

When should a groom start skincare before the wedding?

Eight weeks gives time for a patch test, one new product at a time and a quiet last week. Even two weeks of sunscreen, gentle cleansing and lip balm helps.

What is the simplest groom skincare routine?

A gentle cleanse, sunscreen every morning and a lip balm. Everything else is optional.

Can a groom wear a BB cream?

Some do, in a thin layer over sunscreen. Test the shade early, blend into the neck and remove it at night. It is entirely optional.

Which products are good for a dulha in Pakistan?

Our picks for a basic kit are Hybrid SPF-95, C Glow and a Bloom lip balm. Add Clarity if you have dark spots. See the skincare for men collection.

Should I try a facial before the wedding?

If you want one, do it weeks before, with a salon you trust, and not in the last week. New treatments close to the event are the usual source of surprise reactions.

What if I get a pimple the week of the wedding?

Do not squeeze it. Keep the routine simple and ask a doctor if it is inflamed or painful. A thin layer of base can soften the look.
